What if I have tried everything?
Most “everything” skips nervous system regulation and embodiment. We start there—where change sticks.
Will this work for my specific pain?
Yes. Somatic practices work at the systems level (nervous system and habituated patterns) so members with back/neck/jaw/pelvic/widespread pain report results because they are re-patterning the system, not just spot treating!
Are these practices safe for my condition?
We offer gentle, slow, titrated progressions. Always listen to your body and consult your health provider as needed.
Do I need equipment?
A mat or soft surface (which could include your bed if getting down onto the floor is challenging). Props are suggested in some classes, and improvision also works such as a rolled towel in place of a block, or a scarf instead of a yoga strap.
How long are the practices?
We have practices of all lengths from 10 minutes to luxurious classes that are 60 minutes long. Most classes are 10-20 minutes in length.
Do I need to have experience working somatically?
Not at all. In fact this work can be learned and members see results immediately.
